Description
Why Fund this Projects?
When you support KCCA, you are investing in a human-centered non-profit model.
Every dollar donated to this project is reinvested into the recognition and welfare of our members.
Breaking the Cycle: Recognition builds the confidence needed for women to become leaders in their own communities.
Preserving Heritage: By making these “invisible” skills visible and professional, we ensure that traditional Khmer hand-looming is valued by the next generation.
Transparent Social Impact: As an association, our “profit” is measured in the lives changed and the stories told.
The Vision: More Than Just a Job
As a non-profit organization, our goal isn’t just production, it is dignity. For an artisan working from home, recognition is the bridge to empowerment.
This project focuses on three vital transitions:
1. From Informal Worker to Certified Professional: We provide the framework for artisans to have their skills formally recognized.
Your Impact: Funding supports professional certification and training, moving women from “informal helpers” to “certified master crafters” within our association.
2. From Isolation to a Global Voice: We use storytelling to break the barrier of distance. By documenting the lives and techniques of our home-based artisans, we give them a seat at the global table.
Your Impact: Your support funds the digital infrastructure, photography, videography, and profile building needed to share their stories with international fair-trade partners and donors.
3. From Local Craft to Market Recognition: We act as the official representative for our home-bound members, ensuring their work reaches high-value markets that respect ethical standards.
Your Impact: You help us build the marketing and export pathways that ensure these artisans are recognized as leaders in sustainable, upcycled fashion and traditional hand-looming.
Budget Goal: 25 200 USD
