Description

Why Fund a Scholarship?

When you fund a scholarship, you are creating a permanent change in a family’s economic future:
Dignity & Independence: Scholars become business owners, gaining respect and influence within their communities.
Climate Resilience: You are helping us scale a farming method that uses 90% less water and zero harmful pesticides.
A Non-Profit Promise: 100% of scholarship funds go directly toward the allowance, materials, and training for our members.
The Scholarship Investment:
Your donation doesn’t just fund a class; it funds a complete transition into a new life. The scholarship covers four critical stages of empowerment:
1. The Training & Learning Allowance: Many of our members cannot afford to take time away from their daily responsibilities to learn.
The Impact: We provide a monthly training allowance for our scholars. This ensures they can focus 100% on mastering hydroponic techniques without worrying about immediate financial pressure at home.
2. Technical Mastery: Under the guidance of our project leads and trainers, scholars learn high-yield, water-efficient farming.
The Impact: Training covers everything from nutrient management to climate-resilient harvesting, ensuring every scholar is an expert in soil-free agriculture.
3. Home-System Installation: Graduation isn’t the end; it’s the beginning. Upon successful completion of the training, KCCA provides and installs a professional Hydroponic Kit at the scholar’s home.
The Impact: We bring the farm to them. This allows home-bound women to manage their production alongside their family duties, removing the barriers of travel and land ownership.
4. Business Start-Up & Market Support: Once the system is running, we help our scholars launch their micro-business.
The Impact: KCCA provides the initial seeds and supplies, along with marketing support to connect their surplus harvest to local buyers. We ensure that their first day of production is their first day of earning.
Budget Goal: 26 200 USD
